  • The Last of Us

With the release of the Last of us 2, I did a bit of fan art which was inspired by the connection the two main characters share.  Despite the connection these characters share, they are vastly different in terms of personality.  If you notice the […] More

  • Revisiting Zootopia For An Important Conversation Starter

Zootopia is a film to revisit with one’s children. The film can assist in having a meaningful conversation about mindsets we must overcome. In today’s society, we must learn that we can be each other’s ally instead of each other’s enemy.  We also must learn that not to believe all stereotypes ingrained in our minds from a young age. We have to practice growing together, and that means having these conversations with our children in a manner they will understand. Zootopia is a great conversation starter for parents today because it’s more than just a mere animated film. It’s a film with a message worth listening to and worth sharing.

  • The Worlds Best Songwriter

  • The Importance of Shudders Scream, Queen! My Nightmare On Elm Street

Scream, Queen: My Nightmare on Elm Street is by far one of the best horror documentaries I’ve ever seen. It’s such a great film and reveals so much of the fear, unfortunately, running rampant through Hollywood in the 1980s. Mark Patton’s portrayal continues to be underrated in the horror sequel of one of the most popular horror franchises of all time. If you have Shudder, you should take the time to watch the documentary this month and take a moment to understand this time in history and appreciate Patton’s incredible behind the scenes look at his experience during this time via my piece on Fandomize Media.

  • Pippies Are Good. Mussels Are Better

Pippies (or pipis) and mussels are both shellfish. Mussels are easier to gather than pippies as they grow attached to rocks. You just need a low tide to get to them and a blunt instrument to dislodge them. Pippies are a bit of pain as […] More

  • Social Media Drains Our Mental Health

Now more than ever we have to speak up and speak out for our world. Our family. But we also need to remember that sometimes we have to step away from the computer. We have to go out and have fun with our friends because the first thing I learned in therapy is that social media is not good for our mental health. It’s one of the main things encouraged to take a break from ultimately so I see the irony of posting this on social media. However, we do need breaks. We have the right to a break every now and then. We cannot build resentment toward this fight. We must be there for one another. We must love each other unconditionally.

  • 10,000 Steps

If you can’t run, walk. It’s good for you. Years ago, I used to run every day for exercise and ran in 5K and 10K runs for the fun of it. I also played tennis and skied. Then my knees began giving me problems and […] More

  • See Me

When you look at me,  It’s like I’m not even there. You treat me like I’m a wall, like I am less than, like I’m not even human. I stay locked in your shadow, Afraid to break out,  Fearing that you won’t accept me. But […] More
