These drones will plant 40,000 trees in a month. By 2028, they’ll have planted 1

We need to massively reforest the planet, in a very short period of time. Flash Forest’s drones can plant trees a lot faster than humans.

Meet your Sharer Dean Lettfuss

Hi, my name’s Dean Lettfuss and I'm the Founder of Pippies. I love the world we live in. The animals, mountains, sun, snow, oceans, trees, nature and the beautiful positive people that inhabit it. But I’m also deeply distressed by the destruction, greed, bullying and selfishness that goes on. It’s time we changed. It’s time we became more caring, loving and evolved. Become a planet helper, rescuer and contributor. Press the orange button below, select a Cause close to your heart, and thank the Creator and Sharer of this post with a small gratitude tip/contribution for their tireless hard work and dedication to making the world a better place. Love and Gratitude. Dean

  1. I think the post title is a little misleading. The drones are not planting trees. They are planting seedlings. They have to GROW into trees. While the oak tree is the genus with the most carbon-absorbing ability, it takes about 80 years for the tree to mature. There are a number of faster-growing trees, but my point is if you cut down old-growth forests, it takes years and years to replace those carbon sinks. It’s a long term solution.

From National Geographic: Forests still cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area, but they are disappearing at an alarming rate. Between 1990 and 2016, the world lost 502,000 square miles (1.3 million square kilometers) of forest, according to the World Bank—an area larger than South Africa.

  2. So nice to read some good news. It’s a pity the”billion” was cut off in the post image. I thought at first it was a joke.

You should re-edit the image so the billion appears. As it reads now
