Unbelievable Bioluminescent Beach, California

source

The Youtbe traveller “Fun For Louis”  captured the bioluminescent organisms that covered the coasts of California shores last week. To be honest I thought he had travelled to another country to see this unique phenomena, but then i found out that this was happening right here in California. Absolutely amazing!!  These microorganisms (dinoflagellates) give off light which is caused by a reaction of two different types of chemicals called luciferase or photoprotein. This is also called “Red tide or algal bloom”,  according to sources certain spieces might be toxic however other microorganisms are less toxic to humans. Check it out !!
